What is the future of Natural Language Processing in healthcare?

With the development of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning, natural language processing in healthcare is becoming more and more important.

NLP is a computer programming technique that uses statistical techniques to analyse text or speech and extract meaning from it. It has been used for many years in computational linguistics but only recently has it been applied to healthcare.

Natural language processing application in healthcare can be divided into three categories: clinical decision support, personalization, and diagnosis.

It can be used in a number of different areas such as in healthcare to help doctors diagnose patients more quickly and efficiently.

One of the most important issues is that NLP does not understand sarcasm or idioms very well. This means that if someone says “I am feeling great!” on an app like this, it might come back with an answer like “You are likely experiencing symptoms of depression”. The healthcare industry can also use natural language processing to help with patient records management and find new treatments for different illnesses.
